UX & Product Designer
- Full-time
- Remote
The role
Our users are teachers marking attendance between classes, grandparents checking a family portal, coordinators running an operations desk. Design at eiQora means making complex institutional work feel calm — for people who never chose the software and should not need a manual.
You would be the design conscience of the studio: owning the design system across every module, shaping how a bespoke platform can feel handmade for each client while staying coherent underneath, and pushing the craft bar on everything from empty states to onboarding flows.
What you'll own
- Design flows and interfaces across client platforms — portals, dashboards, learning tools, operations desks
- Own and evolve the design system: tokens, components, patterns, and the rules for per-client theming
- Turn messy real-world workflows (uncovered in discovery) into screens people understand at first sight
- Work directly with engineering — your Figma is a conversation, not a handoff wall
- Set the accessibility bar: contrast, focus states, touch targets, and language that everyone can use
What we're looking for
- A portfolio of shipped product work — real software people used, not only concepts
- Fluency in systematic design: components, tokens, states, and the discipline to keep them honest
- You can design for low-tech, high-stakes audiences — clarity beats cleverness every time
- Comfort working async in writing, with strong rationale for your decisions
Nice to have — not required
- You prototype in code, or read it comfortably
- Experience designing for education, community, or civic products
- Brand or editorial design sensibility — typography that means something
What every role here comes with
- Fully remote, async-first — we measure output and ownership, not hours online
- Real scope from week one: your work ships to real institutions, under your name in the commit log
- A direct seat at the table — small team, no layers between you and the decisions
- Compensation discussed openly and early in the process — no guessing games at offer stage
- Equipment and tools you need to do your best work
- A calm, serious, low-meeting culture that protects deep work
We read every application ourselves — no screening software, no keyword filters. If you are unsure whether you qualify, apply anyway and say so; honest self-assessment counts in your favour here.
